    Pro Am Jam

    Child golfing

For almost a decade, the First Dakota National Bank Pro Am Jam is the most anticipated Sioux Falls golf tournament. Players from the Dakotas Tour are matched with novice golfers for a weekend of friendly competition. Pro Am Jam is also known for its big-name musical performances, with past guests like Gavin DeGraw, Matt Nathanson, Huey Lewis, Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, Big and Rich, Bret Michaels, and Old Dominion who have taken the stage during our Friday and Saturday night concerts.

Event proceeds benefit the Sanford Health Foundation —Donor generosity to Sanford Health Foundation keeps Sanford Health on the cutting edge of patient care and medical research and drives our work of health and healing. From bringing state-of-the art facilities like Sanford Children’s Hospital, Ava’s House and the Edith Sanford Breast Center to life, to helping educate our next generation of caregivers, powering community wellness programs, providing direct patient assistance and everything in between, philanthropy is saving and transforming lives across the region. Most importantly, we are proud to say that 100% of EVERY donor dollar stays local and impacts those right here in our community.

This event only happens once a year. Join us at the Country Club of Sioux Falls August 12-15, 2021.

Pro Am Jam events are only open to members and guests of the Country Club of Sioux Falls and event sponsors.

  • Men

    Men’s Pro Am Jam

All players are automatically entered into both team and individual competitions. Players must have an active USGA index as of the August 1 GHIN revision.

The maximum handicap is 18 for the event. If your index is higher than 18, we still encourage you to play. However, your event handicap will be 18.

    Team Competition

    Friday & Saturday

    • Field: 52 three-man teams. There will be two flights of 25 teams. Flight placement will be based on your total team handicap.
    • Format: 36-hole competition—1 gross and 1 net ball on each hole. Teams will have a professional paired with them each round and can use the professional’s score as either gross or net on each hole. Using the pro’s score is not mandatory.
    • Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each flight. Gift certificates will be redeemable in the Pro Shop at the Country Club of Sioux Falls. Team winners will be announced and presented guitar trophies on stage during the Saturday night concert.

    Individual Competition

    Friday, Saturday, & Sunday

    • Field: All 150 amateurs will be playing an individual competition that runs concurrent with the team competition.
    • Format: Individual stroke play. Players will be pre-flighted based on their event handicap. Championship flight will be gross, all other flights will be net. Competition within the flights is a 36 hole event. Flight winners and prizes will be awarded after play on Saturday. The Overall Gross and Overall Net competitions are 54 holes. The top Overall Gross and Overall Net players after Saturday will make the cut to Sunday. Winners of the Overall Gross and Overall Net competitions will be recognized with official Pro Am Jam Guitars. All players are automatically entered into the individual competitions as part of the tournament entry.
    • Saturday cut: There will be a cut at the conclusion of play on Saturday. The flight competitions will be complete and those making the cut to Sunday will be playing for Overall Gross and Overall Net Prizes. The official number of amateur players making the cut is still TBD and will be announced well before the start of the tournament.
    • Sunday final round: We are planning to play the Amateur and Pro Final Rounds concurrently again this year. Tee Times will be off #1 & #10 with the start time being 9am, giving people the opportunity to rest up from Saturday night. The amateurs will tee off #1 & #10 at the beginning of the wave and the pros will follow. Amateurs will finish in time to watch the pro's play a good portion of the back nine.
    • Prizes: Overall Gross and Overall Net winners will receive the official Pro Am Jam Guitar Trophies. Top finishers in each flight and top finishers in the overall gross and net competitions will receive gift certificates redeemable in the golf shop at The Country Club of Sioux Falls.

In the event of a tie for the overall gross or net individual champion, a sudden-death playoff will take place immediately following play on Sunday. Ties in the individual flights will be broken using the tiebreaker system below.

In the event of a tie in the team competition, or any place receiving a prize payout, it shall be broken using the following tiebreakers:

    1. Team or individual total score from the final 18-hole round.
    2. Team or individual total score from the back 9 on the final round.
    3. Team or individual total score from holes 13-18 in the final round.
    4. Team or individual total score from holes 16-18 in the final round.
  • Women

    Ladies Pro Am Jam

Professionals from the Dakotas Tour will be teaming up with groups for a fun 9-hole competition on the short course at the County Club of Sioux Falls. We encourage all women members and their guests to come out and play!

We are taking up to 18 teams (54 players). You may sign up as a single or team. Each team will consist of 3 women and a Dakotas Tour professional in a format designed for golfers of all skill levels.

Due to the popularity of the Ladies Pro Am and the timing of evening events on Thursday, we are going to do TWO shotgun waves for the Ladies Pro Am. Each wave will have a maximum of 10 teams. When registration opens, it will be first come, first served to reserve your team and time slot. The shotgun times available are Thursday, August 9th at 1 p.m and 4 p.m.

Ladies must register as a team of 3. Each team member will need to visit the website to sign up and pay. For those who are singles, please contact the Pro Shop who will help to form a team of 3.

    Awards Reception

An awards reception with food and drinks will be held in the Green Room Tent following play. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams. There will be great pin prizes, too.

Host a Pro

Members of the Country Club of Sioux Falls: We are asking for your participation in the player housing program for the 2021 Pro Am Jam. The past seven years, many of you have graciously taken in one (or more) of the professional players during the event. This year, we will have 60 players in the event. We would like to offer them a place to stay where they have a bedroom and access to a bathroom. Some are even willing to share a room with a friend they are traveling with. If you are interested in hosting, please fill out the form below. We will be in touch as the event approaches.

Players will begin to arrive the week of August 9. The event officially starts with practice rounds on Wednesday, August 10, and concludes on Sunday, August 15. If there are specific dates you are available, please note that in the comment box below.
